VanOssPixPatricia is an actor, storyteller, and teacher, who has appeared on stage (e.g., The Guthrie Theater and The Playwrights’ Center, in Minneapolis, MN, and the Briar Street Theater in Chicago, IL); in commercials (e.g., 3M; Regis Salons; and Tyson Chicken); motion pictures (e.g. Rachel River); television (e.g., The Women of Brewster Place, a miniseries with Oprah Winfrey); and as a featured teller at the Illinois Storytelling Festival. At the Audition Center (now the Acting Studio of Chicago) she worked with actors using the Shurtleff and Meisner methods, teaching scene work and audition skills. Trained in improvisation at Second City in Chicago and Dudley Riggs in Minneapolis, Patricia was also an actor with Wavelength, an improvisational company, specializing in staff development for teachers.
