Mike Ritchie
Mike realized in first grade that he loved to make people laugh. That’s when he decided that the role of class clown was his burden to bear. Many years and laughs later, Mike loves the teamwork, challenge and exhilaration of improv comedy. Being described as “thoughtless” by his most esteemed colleagues is actually a compliment to him when it comes to improv. Known for creating characters organically on the spot, you rarely see him play the same character twice. His humor has been described as cerebral and he loves puns and any kind of wordplay. He runs the spectrum from immature to thought provoking! Mike is dad to a young son and works in the ER at Conway Medical Center by night and at Ripley’s Aquarium in HR by day. He took his first class with CIC in May of 2009, sweated through CIC’s first months of performances in the summer of 2009 with the Barefoot Improvisers at Docksider’s Grille and had the honor of helping with the launch and opening of Uptown. What a trip it’s been and continues to be! Where ever life takes him, Mike knows he will be improvising the whole way!
